Great alternative to chemical lights By: Mark Stevenson, on September 8, 2014 Pros: Cons: "Excellent piece of kit for night or low vis dives. I dislike cyalume sticks both for their cost and the implications of 1 time use items. Full strobes cause flash blindness in low light and interfere with photos and filming. The strobe attaches by a metal clip pin and is activated on contact with water. I produces a quick and bright flash that is visible from a good distance. Be aware this is a disposable item, their is no way to replace the batteries, but the cost per use is markedly lower... |

Great piece of kit. By: Mark Stevenson, on May 19, 2014 Pros: Cons: "Having recently become a diver I have fallen hard for the sport and for night diving in particular. On several dives now I have been near blinded by white strobes used as position markers, hardly ideal underwater. I had been using Cyalume sticks tied to my tank but at over ?1 each this becomes an ongoing expense. The mini strobe attaches to your BCD via a safety pin style clip and activates on contact with water. The strobe is a sealed unit, no access to the components is possible as they are... |
